Meet some of your future classmates. They found the right "fit" at a Wisconsin private college, and you can too.

Lydia Stuebs

"When you think of what it is like to be up close and personal to the 53 professional football players who make up the St. Louis Rams, you might not think of Wisconsin’s private colleges and universities. But my experience with the Rams is just one of the great opportunities that my university has provided me. I spent part of last summer as a student intern for the Rams while they were at my school for training camp. I made great professional connections that will help me in the future, and have an incredible experience I can keep with me forever."

Luis Arias

"My life is anything but normal. In between a full day of classes, tutoring sessions, and homework, I fit in three-hour training sessions as the men’s middleweight boxing national amateur champion. College is a priority, though, and a Wisconsin private college or university was my top choice. The financial aid package I was offered made it possible for me to be the first person in my family to go to college. I’m going to major in business and hope to be a boxing promoter. I can’t box for the rest of my life; I want to be healthy, have a family, and work with the sport I love. I need a degree to do that, and my university is helping me get there."

- Luis Arias, Milwaukee

Jason Diaz

"Transferring to a private college from one of the state schools was the best thing I ever did. After serving in Iraq, I knew I wanted to do even more to help people. My college’s smaller community and caring professors are a better fit with my learning style. On my first day here, one of my professors gave the whole class his home phone number and said to call anytime. With that kind of support, I know I’m going to make it through the challenging path ahead."
